Why do the marina's not sell live bait? I grew up fishing lakes in GA and SC, and this is the first time I've ever encountered this problem. I would think a lake known for stripers would keep live heron easily accessible.

For years all the Marina's would basically go into wintertime sleep mode after Labor Day. It appears that this is still true to some extent as a friend told me he drove all the way up to big bridge for breakfast Sunday and it was CLOSED. Our closest bait store is the fly shop on 69 north and is offshore.

another place offshore is the Country Mall. Or Williams Grocery in Arley
