This statement is not to defend or support any insurance company. You might want to take a hard look at the trees identified and any others that could strike any improvements on your property.

I don't think anyone wants to go through having a fallen tree removed from a roof/deck/vehicles, repairs made, claims to be filed, estimates to be obtained, loss of prized posessions, deductibles to be paids, loss of enjoyment time at the Lake and most importantly potential injuries or fatalities.

Big old top heavy pines with shallow root systems adjuacent to a seawall are just an accident waiting to happen.

Not saying they are, but the insurance company could be right in this case. A huge tree on your roof is not a win -- win for any parties except tree removal services, the local mortuary and building contractors.
