If you have any interest in ham radio or are a ham and are inactive, Field Day is this Saturday. The Lake Martin Amateur Radio Club will be under a shelter at the Sportsplex (just look for antennas in the air and on cars) all afternoon. It is a chance to put together an impromptu station and talk. Guests are welcome and are welcome to try their hand. I regualrly talk all over the country and world-wide on 100 watts using an automotive wire antenna.
It's a neat hobby and not too hard or expensive.
