No need to contact Area 51...mystery solved. After observing the same flying phenomenon, the objects were determined to be Chinese lanterns. They are commonly used during a celebration such as a wedding or memorial service. But then again...the thought of several stealth helicopters making no sound and creating no down drafts is a much more fun story.
