So my wife texted me while I was at work on Friday and asked if we could go to the lake to get away from the Wuhan ChiCom Chinese virus and I was all in. We played golf at Stillwaters Saturday morning, took the dog on a walk on the Lakeshore Trail in the afternoon, grilled steaks on the deck while drinking adult beverages. On Sunday we went to mass at St. Vincent DePaul and it was nicely crowded. Emptied closets fo some interior painting we are having done in a couple of weeks and took the dog on the Lakeshore Trail again. Lots of boats both days, mostly people fishing. Reminded us that despite all the nuttiness life still goes on.
Speaking of Stillwaters, here is a condition report. The sand traps and bunkers are still non-existent. Fairways and greens are in OK shape. Basically no improvement. I did notice they removed the GPS systems, probably to save money. So far the new operators have done little to improve conditions although they did clear away some brush and trees. They really need to fix the traps. Still not worth the cost when compared to Grand National.
