What type of boat do you have?

Not a lot of people stay out overnight. Some of the dock-dwellers stay in their cruisers at the dock, not on the lake (silly notion to me if you've got a big'ol cruiser, but, gives us more of a choice). Others don't realize that a cuddy is sufficient enough to stay overnight. Any type of boat can be used, its just a matter of how well someone takes to camping on the water. Sorry, getting onto somewhat of a soapbox and something you probably already know.

We've only had 2-times where a cove we wanted to stay was already taken. There are a lot of private coves around the lake so if you want some suggestions, let me know. We've stayed in coves up towards the 280-bridge out to coves in the Oakachoy area, and a whole bunch in-between.

We've marked quite a few coves around the lake on the GPS where we can sit back-n-relax, watch the night-sky show where no surrounding lights impede the viewing and, all the shooting-stars (especially cool are those that enter the atmosphere and burn-out right above you), and totally private.

One item that I've strived to make a point to my wife is whatever cove we find, no houses are around. Reason - I like the peacefulness and quiet of the lake on a nice, warm summer night, thus, I should afford that same luxury to any homeowner by not having my boat in their view. Believe it or not, there are a bunch of coves still in existence around LM that are private, quiet, and don't interupt other people. I'm not going to say (on this forum) what we do out there but leave that to your imagination.

Of course, hooking-up with some people to spend the night and party (not too loud so-as to be a nuisance) is fun too. The only loud things we've heard late at night is Rodeo, the Fire Road, once had a boat-load of drunks stop-by (a village was being deprived that night), and a couple times some bands. So, if we cut-loose and make some noise, the decibels would have to be quite high to be heard in the surrounding area.

Again, let me know if you want some suggestions on coves.
