Didn't mean to hit a nerve, TIVO. I had understood from your posts you were quite a techie. I meant it as a compliment.
I haven't figured out how to listen to ETs home planet, and I'm afraid it would sound like C-SPAN.
I'm one of the first DirecTV subs in our area 9 years ago. I've had no real problems with them for the home service. I've had a run in or two with the uplink folks, but that is a different matter.
I was just trying to point out it all comes down to money. Both services really don't care what you watch, as long as you pay them each month. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it is the way it is. Been in the satellite uplink and Radio/TV engineering for 30 years, so I know what drives any change or additional services.
