Eating at a Southern All-U-Can-Eat, next to someone who mentions living in a doublewide and "NOT" drinking sweet tea????? O my Gosh!
What was she thinking??? hehehehehe
My mother in law is from the North,.... Boston to be exact. My husband used to say "Why can't you cook peas like my mother"? (as you can imagine,... that erked this southern girls grits! So one weekend, I cooked a big sourthern supper with "peas" (not dinner-SUPPER) fixed his plate and put it in front of him. He immediately said "what the he!! is THIS!!!" I said "PEAS! You wanted me to fix the peas like your momma's and since I didn't know how she does it, I made them by taste!" On his plate was a big pile of boiled peanuts,.... cause that is just what his momma's taste like! Uncooked, Non-seasoned peas! He's never said anything like that to me again! The funny thing is that the next time we went to his parents house, i told his momma what I did. She didn't laugh to much, but my father-in-law fell off the couch laughing,..... he understood,.... he's from the south and has wanted to say that for years.
Pass the sweet teas guys and lets move on!
