I made a quick trip to the lake yesterday and the water looks absolutely gorgeous! From where we sit, it looks like a deep Aqua. The sun was shining, the sky was blue~it was so beautiful!
I just sat on the deck and watched the water, and a few boats go by. I also noticed a couple of geese swimming about 70-80 feet out. Before I realized it, they were comming up our neighbors boat ramp. Seven babies came waddleing up behind them. It was sooooo cute! (and of course, no camera with me this trip)
I noticed where babygirl had had posted a warning about stuff floating
out in the water. (thanks babygirl) Ya'll also be careful of the "extra families" that are also out in the water this time of year. Those baby don't move as fast as the momma's and daddy's can!
One more warning,... about the sun. Last year at this time, my sister's kids got 2nd degree burns from the sun. It was weird how it happened.
The sun was out but not too hot, a cool breeze blew all that weekend. One of those weekneds where you don't think you need sun screen.
Anyways,... her kids were pink ~no big deal~, but the next morning they had HUGE blisters forming on their shoulders. We took them to the DR, and he said he couldn't say anything about not protecting them with sun screen, because his son was in the same shape from cutting the grass. He said this time of the year the UV Rays are much stronger, but the weather is so nice you just don't realize the damage until it's too late. So watch your little ones,..... my sisters kids have scars on their shoulders now.
