I'd love to know the answer to 'it could be accomplished if..." As soon as these wave runner, tube pulling, oblivious to other screamers hit the lake, there is not a moments peace. Dangerous. Disturbing. Can't there be new rules, new laws that force these drivers to have the regard for others that they don't seem to naturally possess? Any hope? Any suggestions? Boats (and wave runners) are dangerous toys. Kids, too, need to understand that there is a great deal of responsibility that comes with driving. What kills me is to see adults teaching their children these rude and dangerous behaviors. And I would add, it is especially troubling that these folks often don't live here. They come for the day and ruin our lives--for free. My answer to "it could be accomplished if" is...charge at the boat ramp, enforce rules that require all vehicles to stay away from docks and swimmers, patrol, ticket, and fine violaters.
