Just take some time to learn the lake at the new water levels. There are just as many rocks that are dangerous as stumps. It not Alabama power duty to clear the late of stumps. My gosh, the lake is much much more dangerous in the spring when water levels are high and you have to constantly watch out for logs. Come on people, this lake has always risen and dropped through out the year by 15 to 20 feets and always will. After many years on the lake I now know where it safe to fish and ski when the water levels are low. When I was a young man and the water dropped we would go out and explore the lake. It was kind of fun the see tha changes and still is somewhat. If we drop to 490 this year I'll be out there again to study the lake.
