While watching everyone argue is enjoyable for a while, it is getting a bit old. Can't all sides on the Smith Lake argument agree to disagree and move on? Just so nobody questions who I am: - Ron - I have a sister that works for APC, in some accounting area, and in no way related to smith lake, and she has no bearing on lake levels or anything else. - I don't work at APC. - I don't belong to SLISA (never figured out what it would gain me) - I do own a home on smith lake. We lost water last year, but usually keep water til late in the fall. Don't know if that makes me seasonal or not.
I don't have any problems with the way APC runs the lake. It has been this way for a long time, I understood it when I bought my land, and I also understand that there was a major drought over the past two years. While I would like for them to draw down later in the year, I can't argue with how they do it since that is how it was done for a long time. I understand there are lots of other things to consider in running the lake and letting water out, and I don't claim to be an expert at any of them. I am glad APC built the lake, or otherwise I wouldn't have one. I am glad APC lets me have a dock, or otherwise recreation would be much harder.
Ron
