He, and those R's like him, are as tone deaf as the current congress. We seem to be clinging, although barely, to the edge of an economic abyss. Considering that our current federal debt to gdp ratio is 13% higher than Greece, there must be responsible leadership. His statement is irresponsible. His/their actions, prior to the 2008 commitment, were irresponsible. His influence in the new congress MUST be minimized. There were 2 petitions floating late June, early July, that needed 218 signatures to force another floor vote on the health care obomination. Cantor exercised multiple procedural ploys to deny the signatories the up or down vote, in my mind, further proof he is a poster boy for the ruling elite.
