Uhh, wixie-poo, that's the definition of socialism: the people pay taxes to support government programs that provide for the common good. If you approve of Medicare and Social Security (note the first word in the name), you can't claim to be against socialism. Well, you can claim that - lots of clueless folks do - but you'll just be advertising your ignorance.
