He still owned it a couple of years ago when I was there with some friends. Apparently he built two homes, his and one on spec. Word was he lost his shirt on the spec home. Semi-funny story. The friends of mine that had a house on Burton were motoring around when Saban's house was being built. They stopped and were walking around the partially built house when in comes Saban. Apparently he didn't say a word, crossed his arms and gave them the stink eye so they left. Very strange way to treat neighbors on the lake. If it had been me I would have said hello, given them a tour and then sent them on their way. But then again, I am not Nick Saban. Not much of a fan of Lake Burton. Very pretty setting but far too small, too busy and the water is much colder than Lake Martin. But lots of nice homes owned by Ga Power execs.
