Find it hard to credit McCain with "solving" the financial mess and coming up with a new plan. I think it is more likely that Congressional members phones are ringing off the hooks with ticked off constituites telling them they better come up with something better or they may be looking for a new job after the election.

My sister, who lives in AZ, tells me that the papers there are full of letters from people ticked off with McCain. Seems they don't feel they have had adequate representation for about 2 years since McCain started running for President. I told her that if AZ doesn't want him (assuming he doesn't win in November) that he can come to Alabama and make his home here, since so many people here seem to think he is wonderful. Maybe he could buy a Lake mansion and live among his most ardent supporters. With the soft real estate market, I'm sure he can get a nice mansion for a cheap price.
