They do seem to be very independent and that frankly is what gives them their credibility. I do find it unsurprising but ironic the lack of concern about the Executive Branch potentially trying to strongarm CBO. If GW had done this it would be all we hear about from the government media. Contrast that with the hysteria we got from Cheney visiting another Executive Branch agency.

I don't expect that to change but I like pointing out their hypocrisy.
