To be fair, I don't think that "Longneck Island" and Sand Island are actually one and the same; I think someone who isn't very good with maps made that claim. The way I read it, there are at least five islands between Sinclair's and Sand Island, and most of them (well, the ones that didn't become part of Trillium) fit the descriptions better: "right in front of Sinclair's," "you can see it from the marina," etc.

If, on the other hand, they are indeed talking about Sand Island, then I'm behind you 100% on this one.
