Subject:   Certificate for a bass boat ???

On Boat Trader and other sites I have seen a number of posts by persons wishing to sell a certificate for a bass boat they say was won in a bass fishing tournament.  Supposedly, they already have a bass boat and thus are offering to sell the certificate.  The purchaser can then take it to a boat dealer and get a new bass boat.  You can also negotiate with the dealer for upgrades.  Some certificates are for a fully equiped boat and others are for a few thousand dollars.

I am somewhat leery that these offers are legit.  Can you provide any input or sites where I might check these certificates?
