Mack as Ron says, trees seem to be the thing for fish habitat. In fact APCo encourages the building of fish habitats. They have had a program for years of building habitats with discarded Christmas trees. I don't know about pvc or the lights. The lights work great shining on and in the water. I don't know if in the water is legal. We used to crappie fish at night with Coleman lanterns shining on the water. They really draw the bait fish.
