Face it, the younger generation likes those radical ideas.  They don't see anything wrong with socialism, because they believe it favors "everyday people"... not realizing that these aren't new ideas - Hitler, Mao, Stalin all promised those things too - and we know how those turned out.  First step to Dictatorship.
