Hound: My question was for lucky...who seems pretty dead set against both Durant and Britt.
For all: We know that Brooks and Britt are Washington insiders, swamp dwellers so to speak, but Durant is not. Durant successfully built a multimillion dollar company employing real, live taxpayers...with a strong presence if not its headquarters in Huntsville...can either Brooks or Britt match that? Does the fact that Durant doesn't have strong historical Alabama ties necessarily mean he won't represent the best interest of Alabamians? I am thinking of giving him a chance as a possibly good Alabama senator...he might not work out that way but as Rev Tevye (Fiddler on the Roof) might say "on the other hand", he might.
