Cobra, Movin,

Thanks for your comments.

My matter of fact comments arent intended to rile people, they are intended, to the best of my ability and knowledge of the lake and it levels based on the years weve been going there to be informative and to explain that this subject is nothing new. If my comments offend someone, it is because they allow themselves to be offended by what I believe to be facts and truth.

The Dam was built with two priorities, flood control and power generation. Due to the lake it backed up I have enjoyed may hours of fun and relaxation, even at low lake levels. Ive seen my children grow up while enjoying Logan Martin and am now being witness to my Grandchildren doing the same.

Something riverrat brought to mind that I hadnt thought of was the flow to keep the lake from becoming stagnant. As a fisherman I should have thought about that before.

We. my family, would prefer the lake be higher but we also refuse to allow the present low water cause any duress or anxiety because we understand it is nothing out of the ordinary, based on our history of going to the lake for over 20 years. We address it as needed and accept it as normal.

The mention of 4 to 6 days of rain has come up several times but in reality it just hasnt rained that much  on the water sheds for Logan, Neely or Weiss therefore due to the flows required by those in power all three of those lakes are below the presently used scale.

You all enjoy the holiday weekend on the lake, there is no reason not to. I would like to be able to join you but personal issues are cause for this family to remain in Birmingham this weekend, other than my coming up long enough sometime to pull out the pontoon boat ( addressing the low water,no anxiety, just protecting our interest).
