A higher winter pool would be nice for recreation, lake appearance, and wildlife.  What concerns me though with a 462 winter pool is being two feet closer to flood stage.  This lake comes up fast with the overly aggressive "hold it in" mindset of APCO.  We've been homeowners on the lake 5 years and have seen the two recent floods in '09 and '11 that went to 470+.  An inconvenience, but not damaging.  If the 470 were to be 472 I've got electrical at the boat house, etc. under water.  What I've observed as APCO/Corp. water management in the 20 years of using LML does not give me a good feeling re: a higher winter pool.  Managed appropriately - yes!!
