For those that know, help us new to the lakers out.

Suppose we do get a flood. How do we handle it? I was told not to try to screw the deck boards down on my pier so that a flood would take the boards, but leave the pier structure. Any advice or helpful knowledge would be great.

Of course, it's all just thinking at this point but I guess it pays to be prepared.
