I used to comment often on this forum.  I found most posts to be reasonably thought out.  But then there are some posts and replies which seemed impulsive and ill-conceived and sometimes laced with unwarranted invective.

The most effective communicator relies on knowledge, correct grammar, eloquence, and persuasiveness.  Most of the contributors of this forum are capable - and some quite effective – at expressing themselves.  And others need to put down their beer, use the bathroom, and wash their minds before they type.

Mostly I don’t jump in because the signal-to-noise ratio is often significantly less than 1 (more bull-pucky than information).

And frequently there are effective contributors whose ideology is both similar to mine and well expressed. If I can’t usefully add to the conversation, I restrain myself from joining the fray.
