COULD THIS HAPPEN TO YOU?

The Alabama Power Company ad placed in the Lake Martin Living magazine states
"when it comes to the shorelines of these lakes, there are numerous state and federal regulations which which we all must comply".

A builder of condominiums on the lake is violating the guildlines established by Alabama Power Company. The builder was given permission to extend the seawall 4' - 5' , however, the seawall built is in excess of 20ft in certain areas, not including a 4ft boardwark extending over 700ft around the perimeter. Plus Alabama Power is also considering allowing them to build a boat slip that will grossly exceed their 45ft guildlines.

If they are allowing this to take place, who is to say that it will not happen time and again when condos are being approved to be built on the shore lines of our wonderful lake?

Let us stop this encroachment of our Lake by contacting those Alabama Power and Southern Company officials who are responsible for enforcing their own guidelines and federal and state regulations.
