Excluding PWC I actually see more disrespectful older boaters than younger ones. I myself am one of the "young ones" at 25. I constantly encounter men who seem to employ the "respect your elders" rule rather than the rules laid out in the boaters manual. Just last week I had a man that appeared to be well past forty mouth off at me when I gave him a dirty look after HE intentionally cut me off in a slough.

Most of the younger boaters took the boater safety test not too, too long ago (though some of them dont drive like it). From what I see, there are many (though not all) older boaters that would benefit from giving the book a quick review. \

As I said before, PWC are a totally different matter. There are far too many kids riding around on these things that have no sense of how their reckless driving affects other boaters. The energy it takes to watch out for them often damages the fun of boating in general.

Lets all pay attention and have a great Memorial Day Weekend.
