As I read this law: if a boat is bought by me and was registered legally by me in any of the 48 other states (not counting the new country of Texas), then I have 90 days to register it in Alabama, as long as I don't operate it one of the 90 days in Georgia, for instance. I'd have to keep a "ship's log" to as my evidience of compliance with the 90 day provision in case of a ticket by an overzealous WP officer.
If the boat is sold, the "90-day law" would not apply since the boat isn't registered to the original owner anymore. In other words, you can't apply this law to 4X4's situation since he wasn't the registered boat owner in Texas.

Maybe Gary is reading and can clarify.
