Kind of premature at this time. I have just turned on the Architect and had initial discussions with the builder to lock-in a start date on his busy calendar. I should be able to give you a report on the Architect in a couple of months. You may want to acquire a book of plans entitled "Waterfront Homes" by Home Planners, LLC (ISBN 1-881955-64-8). I think they also have an internet site. I found it as the best publication for ideas. They had a basic plan with the look I liked, but I am making major modifications to the floor plan lay-out and room sizes. Therefore, I feel more comfortable with a local Architect that can properly handle the changes and knows the local codes, lay of the land & etc. You may just get lucky with this publication and find pretty close to exactly what you want and acquire the build to print plans from the publisher. That would save you a few bucks. Send me a personal email through the Forum, and I will send you a link to my inspiration from the book.

Every trip to the Lake, I make a point to take some time and go visit places under construction to get ideas & view the work of builders. I also pay close attention to the Cabin featured each Month in the "Lake Martin Living". In the Oct. issue I found several ideas that I am hoping to incorporate in my place. Bet you are doing the same and even have had more opportunities than myself.
