Rather than tie my fenders to the top rail, which is unsightly and uses more rope, I tie them lower, closer to the waterline. Because they are tied so low, there is not enough rope to lift them all the way into the boat. Are you saying that because I don't untie them every time I drive my boat that I am some sort of hillbilly?

Don't denigrate others just because they figured out a better way to do something.
