The Republican Party is not blameless.  Specifically, I do not see them pressing for a balanced budget amendment, elimination of earmarks, or fair and understandable taxes. 

When this year’s crop of congressional freshmen arrive, incumbent, ensconced majority and minority leaders will hustle to indoctrinate them on how the system works and why they must tow the line.  BOTH parties will be guilty of this travesty. 

I want my representatives to represent us (me)… not the party line.

We, in America are in for much pain.  Reversing the course of fiscal ruin is not without costs.  Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid are Ponzi schemes, and counting the numbers of our scion, they cannot support the fiscal surprise we, the baby-boomers, are sure to give them.

The fan is running full speed.  We stand behind it with a full load.  When our children and grandchildren are standing squarely in front of the whirling blades, we coots will fling the entire load at the fan.  It’s hard to enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness when you are up to your hips in manure.

This scenario has been written by the people we elected to represent us.  We are guilty.  Our favorite political parties are guilty.  The golden goose is in bad need of CPR.
