Just like has been the case under other democrat presidents, minorities and lower income have done much worse than they have under republicans. Unemployment for minorities increases, number below the poverty level increases, number on food stamps increases. So yes forms of welfare increases under democrats, but real jobs and finacial self sufficiency has gotten better under republicans.

I believe dems keep getting voted in by minorities and lower income is because they don't want to bite the hand feeding them. But the facts are real that opportunity for getting off the government handout is much, much better than under dems.
