Pennsylvania state judge Mark Martin relied on a Sharia law defense to dismiss an open-and-shut harassment case against a Muslim man who assaulted an atheist activist at a Halloween parade. [McCarthy, National Review Online, 24FEB12]
The subject amendment to the Alabama Constitution precludes introduction of any foreign, religious, and/or cultural law from being cited or used in any capacity in an Alabama courtroom. For example: Papal Bulls, UN proclamations, Mormon Law, Geneva Conventions, Boy Scout Laws, usw. One cannot cite a Georgia statute in an Alabama Courtroom. The citation must be framed in Alabama or Federal reference.
Shria Law does not trump First Amendment rights… no matter how offensive is the position of the victim.
Our Second amendment rights should go a long... long... way towards preventing any Muslim takeover of our country (provided the liberals don't discard it).
