I agree that another attack is likely with either Obama or McCain but I do think the mere question of how Obama will react could embolden them versus knowing that McCain would react as vigorously or more vigorously than even Bush. That very potential is one of the costs of our recent electoral choices and one of the reasons I supported McCain. The enemy knows how he will respond. They have reason to wonder about Obama (based on his ideology, his pronouncements on the war in Iraq and lack of any experience to the contrary) and if the upside is sufficient they might be more willing to take the chance. Either way, in their minds they have to believe they are better off with Obama's response than with McCain's.

I still find it amazing that we were not attacked for seven years after 9/11 and wish liberals would get beyond their BDS and give Bush some credit. They are certainly willing to blame him for every ill in the world but not a word on something positive.
