if Obama care failed, then in the mid term elections republican took back control of the house and senate. Then as the republicans clean up the mess from the dems and put the country back on track, Obama can claim all the credit for his leadership. He may even then get a second term.
It is a win win, we keep capitalism, we grow the economy, lower unemployment, reduce government, cut taxes ... and Obama and his mother-in-law get to live off the tax payers in a big white house in Washington for maybe 8 years.
It worked for Clinton. After Hillary care failed, Clinton looked doomed. But the republicans took back control of the house and the senate, some good laws were passed and Clinton looked like a hero. People look back and say Clinton did a great job, the economy was good, etec .... but he did it with Republican law makers that believe in capitalism, not the socialist we have now writing laws.
