to the reasoning behind gas prices. What I would really like to know is how much of the speculation is controlled by big oil, OPEC, etc. There has been plenty of supply over the past two years, so supply and demand has NOT been at work. Mergers and buying up the little guys has had some impact. Wasn't it interesting how BP had this terrible problem in the Alaska pipelines that just seemed to fade away.

EXXON's BS about only making $0.10 profit per gallon has been an insult to all Americans. They own oil wells that produce tremendous profits. Maybe they only make ten cents from the refining process, but the story they told was that they only made .10 in the whole process.

Yes, the gas will go back up after the elections.
