I assume you have an inboard/outboard.  If you trim it all the way down and you still porpoise, your boat is set up wrong, has a prop with too much bow lift, or you've got very heavy weight passengers sitting across the stern.  Trim it down, in, and speed up some.  Should handle it.  Trim tabs help you plane off and level an unbalanced load, but your outdrive trim should handle the job.  You do know how to use the trim don't you?
