28-30 July 2011 – Lake Guntersville – The past couple days on Guntersville, I was joined by some great clients from Georgia to Oklahoma. On Thursday, we focused our attention soley in the Mudd Creek area persuing a frog/rat bite. On Friday and Saturday morning, my client was in town planning for an up coming fall tournament, we fished from Goose Pond up river to the mouth of Town Creek. Both days the guys caught lots of fish throughout the day on a combination of lures and presentations. We focused on drops and road beds with grass close by and matted over grass catching lots of good quality fish in the 2-3 pound range, working 2-18 FOW. Current as always was a factor when fishing the river channel ledges, when we had a little wind and some flow it was on! Water temps have increased to the upper 80’s. Our better fish came on Tightline Football Head Jig’s (Guntersville Special) and white frogs on the edges of the matted grass. We also caught several fish on Ol’Monsters. We caught a few fish around channel grass edges using a compact spinnerbait from Assassinator Buzzbaits early in the mornings. The grass is topping out, all over the lake and the shad are balling up in it. I have days available in August and I'm already booking days for the September and October; make your reservations now for some great summer time action on Guntersville and Nickajack. We supply all fishing gear, lures, and drinking water at no additional cost to you and 110% dedication to making your trip successful. Make your reservations now for some great action on Tennessee River. “Let’s go fish’ in”
