Leave Grandpaw alone. If he can pass the state test, he can drive.
However, it maybe difficult for Grandpaw to learn all the new safety features of new cars.
The steering wheel vibrates when a car is too close, cross the white line and a message appears on the dash “Consider taking a break".
At a stop light, if the car in front drives away and Grandpaw doesn’t follow...the message appears "Leading vehicle is driving away”.
Grandpa has to remember to start and turnoff the car without using a key. Easy to leave the car running when you get out.
Then, if Grandpaw forgets to lock the car he needs an iPhone to get the message via something called Bluetooth that the car doors are unlocked. Grandpaw will love that he can hit a button from his rocker that he can lock the doors from his phone.
Almost forgot, Grandpaw will still need paper maps cause listening to that woman telling him where to turn and to make a u turn cause he missed a turn will probably get him so pissed he will stop driving. Imagine, after all these years driving, he now has to listen to a woman for directions.
Grandpaw will love the automatic seat back massage whenever he drives a set time interval on a trip.
This Grandpaw has experienced all of this with our 2024 Hyundai Palisade.
