My friend and I trolled yesterday. I had a new rod and a counter reel that we tried out. The day before it worked fine (5 small bass) but I changed lures and the lure kept getting tangled up and would stay on top of the water. I think it got snagged first. We were out 140 feet, 40 foot water and going about 1.5 MPH in our pontoon boat. Why do you think the crankbate got tangled?
