There are 3 reasons for Lake Lanier continuing to drop. 1) water & sewer in Atlanta, 2) barge traffic below Columbus, and 3) mussels & oysters in Apalachicola. But if they keep letting water out at this rate they're going to run out of water in Lanier pretty soon - then what are they going to do. I've had to move my dock out every other week since June; now I've got to mow the "lake bottom" to keep the weeds from growing head high.
If we don't get a lot of rain this winter the lake is going even lower next summer.
