The lake was clearing from all the rain washed mud ealier in the week. We saw 60 degrees at the surface by midday today. Jugs only produced a couple cats, but there was a good bite going on for spots in shallow water. It appears that the spawn has started based on how shallow they were and the fact that they were either carrying eggs or the other.
I got a note from Wes S. that he was fishing over lights around Real Island earlier this week. He loaded a fine box and picked up a couple stripes to boot! He had the pictures to prove it. On another high note: I got a call from Jodie P. today. He was upriver near the shoals and put a 38 pound rock fish on ice! Now that's a true bragging fish there. Don't see many of them in a life time.
If you're thinking about going fishing, what are you waiting for? Get busy!
If you are catching, don't be bashful. Let us know how you did.
In the meantime, stay Tooned.
