Folks who fish LM for Crappie year to year have Honey Holes from prior years fishing. Not useful for new fishermen.

As soon as the water is up, the old timers start hitting their spots, primarily with minnows. If not in their spots, they troll with jigs very slowly back in sloughs in fairly shallow water in Spring.

Look for wood structure in shallow water. Free-line a minnow up close and let him swim. Zap. Good luck.
