the former hound dog is now redbud . The change is because of some incorrect log in information . I am a man , my name is Ed Long, and I live on the lake full time . Now that that is cleared up (not that anybody cares ) let me report my fish of the evening .
I got out about an hour before dark . First fish was a 20 inch largemouth . I got him with a super spook on a blow down . Nice fish with a huge mouth but looking a little lean .I would say around 4 pounds . nothing special as largemouths go but he was released no worse for the wear and tear . about 10 minutes later I saw some surface schooling and eased yhat way . When I got in range I threw the spook in . Two 14 inch spots grabbed it at the same time . i landed them both and they came home for dinner with me . that put the school down but they stayed in the same area and worked on them with a jigging spoon and caught another half a dozen before the fading light sent me towards the house .
the water temp is around 70 . Maybe the surface action will oick up
