Dave I look at it differently...... When the water is low and the "bottom" of the lake is exposed and the waves continuously splash/wash or whatever you see a muddy water at least 20ft from the bank.

when the lake is full or close to full the splash/wash is mostly catching seawalls or rock or whatever has been installed around peoples property.
