Wrong. As others have said, in 1986 it got as low as 482 in the summer. Just because you don't remember it doesn't mean it didn't happen.

I remember the summer levels being lower than we're used to back before the upstream dam was built, I wouldn't be surprised to find out that 485 and lower was common back then. But since I can't say it for sure I won't state it as fact. Hint hint.
