I can only imagine the question by the President's lawyer. "So Mr. Bolton were you lying then or are you lying now?" This kind of thing is like catnip to lawyers when they have a witness that can be shown to have lied about something which totally destroys their credibility. Based on the video comments by Bolton there is literally no reason to call him as a witness. He has zero credibility and there is no way to determine which one was a lie and given the statements by all the Dem witnesses in the House we can guess which was a lie.
What Bolton said in the video is consistent with the transcript of the call, consistent with what Zelensky has said repeatedly, consistent with all the witnesses that stated Trump wanted no quid pro quo, consistent with all the witnesses that stated that Trump never explicitely tied the delay in funding to anything and on and on and on. I agree it's over from an acquittal perspective but given Romney and the other squishy Republican Senators it remains to be seen how much longer Bernie, Fauxahontas, et al have to sit in their chairs while Biden roams Iowa gaffing away.
