Over the past several months, many a dog has shown up on our property. One even had a tag with a name and number but repeated calls to that number got no response. What gives with all the irresponsible owners??!!

TODAYS missing dog is brown with a flourescent orange collar. It has been hanging around many homes in the area and many of us have sought to find it's home/owner. Anyone who has any idea where this dog belongs, PLEASE reply to this thread or alert the owner. This dog has been hanging out from door to door for at least one month and is intelligent and kind. I would hate to see it SHOT (which has been suggested by more than one frustrated resident) or delivered to the pound.

The working theory on some of these dogs is that the low water level has allowed them to travel by shore line to seek out areas far from home only to get lost.

ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED.

There is also a pair of dogs... a gold lab/retriever with a black lab/retriever. The gold has a tag with a number but we get no reply from that home when we leave message.

There is also a medium length hair black lab/retriever that shows up every morning whilst we wait for the Reeltown bus to pick up the kids.

THIS IS ALL ON CENTERPORT ROAD between CHUCK's and the hair pin turn.

I find it sad that owners can't keep track of their dogs and aren't even willing to properly tag them so us RESPONSIBLE folk can return them. I've watch countless residents attempt to drive this brown dog (with the flourescent collar) around the neighborhood trying to find it's home....
