I got popped by one a few years ago in the boathouse. I equate the feeling to that of a wasp sting. I have a big problem with them in the boathouse where it stays somewhat damp (that end is well under ground level). They like to get under things like old paint cans, gas cans etc. I have seen a few inside the house, but they are most often wheels up. It appears to me that my normal pest control for the large roaches (a never ending battle for any lake owner) also kills the scorpions. Let your pest control company know you have seen them in case they need to change the formula.
